Well, this is COMPLETELY overdue but I wanted to tell all you guys what happened before, during, and after the concert. I must of said the concert was amazing and incredible a hundred times and now i want to tell you why.
Let's start at the beginning shall we! I heard about this concert from Will and immediately my interest was peaked but i was afraid i wouldn't be able to go due to the fact I have NEVER taken a day off of school just fro myself! But i when i heard this might be her last tour in America i really wanted to see her so my Dad and i started making preparations!
And on Friday the 29th of January we headed to Las Vegas, which was my first time in Vegas! We arrived in good time and we were able to walk down the strip from our hotel at the Hilton, which was huge and gorgeous!, all the way down to the Belagio, which was a long walk, cuz we heard the buffet at the Belagio was fantastic, which it WAS!! We also got to see the water show and the free treasure island show all in the same night.
The next day we started out early and walked all around the rest of the strip which included Excalibur, Luxor, and of course Mandalay Bay!! which is where the concert was going to be held in the House of Blues. The rest of the day we just walked and explored.
That night was the beginning of the excitement. My Dad and I headed down to the House of Blues early, we thought, and there was already a HUGE line that extended around a stair case and ended at the entrance. We stood in line for about an hour before we finally got in.

The whole set up of the concert stage was kind of small in my opinion. Their were balcony seats above us that had all the chair. Where I was looked like a DJ nightclub without the dancing poles. The bar section was just above a lower section which was right in front of the stage. That's where i stood. I wasn't close to the stage but I had a good view of, almost the whole stage. By this time it was about 8 and a DJ came out to play a few songs before the actual performance actually started at 9
The DJ was amazing but everyone wanted him off so Utada would come on stage! We all knew it! The minutes clicked down like an eternity and my feet were beginning to hurt

FINALLY it was 9o'clock!! The moment we were waiting for! and when her song started (ON and ON). We all gave such an uproar it was incredible. I never jumped so high in my life! She was silhouetted in the light and when we finally saw her she had on a black dress that was ripped and showed a pick dress underneath. Her hair was also longer and puffier than i had ever seen it before and one set of bang was over her eye.
All that time during her first song I couldn't help thinking "I made it! I'm actually seeing my first Japanese pop artist that I know and like!" An feeling of happiness and joy together, which i never experienced before, came over me, and I actually found myself crying for a few seconds X"D
Utada was so sweet and funny. Every once and a while she would stop singing so she could talk to us and she told us really funny stories about how she wasn't used to the tight dress she had on. She also told us she wasn't good at autographing and she wished she could be better. She told us that one time she was leaving one of her concerts and there were a few fans by and around her car, go figure lol, but when she came out no one really recognized her cuz she changed cloths and she just got into her car and went off. She said in the she felt weird if she just exited her car again and she promised she would say "I'm here!" the next time she came out from a concert!
The rest of the concert was incredible! The power of the audience was massive and powerful! We sang with her songs we jumped and we screamed " I LOVE YOU!" every time she stopped talking!

When she got off the stage none of us left and we couldn't believe she was stopping already so all of us repeated in unison "Utada" and after clapping, shouting, and stomping she came out for one more encore! It was wonderful she even thanked us for getting her out onstage. But all good things have to end and soon it was all over and my Dad and I were back into another line leading out of the concert.
It was around this time i noticed how bad my legs were shaking and how my ears seemed muffled. When we exited I could hardly stand but I searched around for some merchandise or SOMETHING i could buy to show my appreciation that i had toward the concert! BUT i didn't find ANYTHING!!! :"(
At least I had the tickets!!! and a fuzzy picture of the stage!

As my Dad and I took a very painful trip home I couldn't wait for my next Japanese Concert! If it would be Utada Hikaru's again, Vamps, or KAT-TUN I LOVE the energy and the whole experience of the concert!!
But next time i'm wearing slippers
